George “Trey” Lee, M.D.

Dr George Trey LeeDr. Lee is an affiliated physician with the Southeastern Spine Institute (SSI) in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. He joined SSI because of its reputation and facilities. SSI’s three-acre independent medical campus includes two 22,000-square-foot buildings filled with state-of-the-art equipment, a pain management department, physical therapy facilities, three MRIs and South Carolina’s only accredited ambulatory surgery center (ASC) dedicated specifically to back and neck surgery.

Education and Background

Dr. Lee earned two Bachelor’s Degrees (Biology and History) from Emory University near Atlanta. He earned his Masters in Neurobiology at Georgia State University and his Doctorate (M.D.) at the Medical College of Georgia.

He interned at the University of Alabama and completed his residency, specializing in Neurology at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Lee then stayed on at Vanderbilt, working his way up from Clinical Instructor to Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology.
