Emily K. Finn, PA-C

Education and Professional Experience

Ms. Finn has been with Southeastern Spine Institute since November 2018. She received her BS and MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her prior clinical experience includes a rotation at Interlakes Orthopaedic Surgery in Geneva, NY during which she worked outpatient, inpatient and intraoperatively. Additionally, she completed rotations in emergency medicine, general surgery, family medicine, and several others. While in high school, she participated in the New Visions Program at Rochester General Hospital, which confirmed her career goal to become a physician assistant.

Board Certifications and Associations

Ms. Finn is board certified by the NCCPA, and is a South Carolina Licensed Physician Assistant. She maintains certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). During her time at RIT, she was a member of Physician Assistant Student Association as well as Rochester Regional Physician Assistant Association. Her graduate work was centered in a systematic clinical review comparing rate-controlling agents in atrial fibrillation, for which she presented her research findings to peers and RIT faculty members.

Personal Background

Ms. Finn is a Rochester, NY native that practices a healthy lifestyle both professionally and personally. She has been an active runner for many years, competing in the Rochester Half Marathon in 2016. In her leisure time, she enjoys swimming, cooking, and reading books. In the future, she would like to make use of her medical background outside of the workplace by volunteering with animals in need of rehabilitation.
