Kathleen Lyne Bukowsky, PA-C

Ms. Bukowsky brings a varied background to her role as a Physician Assistant. She started out as a receptionist and an assistant to the scrub nurse for an ear, nose and throat practice. Afterwards, she completed a pre-dental internship and became, not a dentist, but a Clinical Associate/Patient Care Technician at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).

It’s not as big a leap as it appears, since Ms. Bukowsky was in school during that time, exploring different fields within the health care umbrella. Now, as a Physician Assistant at the Southeastern Spine Institute (SSI), she gets to help people overcome their pain.

Ms. Bukowsky attended Wofford College to earn her Bachelor of Science in biology. After some coursework at the College of Charleston and Trident Technical College, she went to MUSC for her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

A Dean’s List student, Ms. Bukowsky completed nine rotations in clinical sub-specialty training as part of her education. Her preceptors during this time included Dr. Donald Johnson,, Daniel Butler, PA-C, and Dr. Blake Dennis at SSI.
