The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC/Accreditation
Association), founded in 1979, has become the national leader in
ambulatory health care accreditation.
The AAAHC accredits a variety of ambulatory health care organizations
including endoscopy centers, ambulatory surgery centers, office-based
surgery centers, student health centers, and large medical and dental
group practices.
The Accreditation Association serves as an advocate for the provision
of high quality health care through the development of nationally
recognized standards. It also offers ambulatory health care organizations
of all types and specialties, a unique peer-based review system that
adopts a collaborative, consultative and educational approach.
